How do I use social media analytics to improve my content?

Compare posts with a similar purpose and format within the same platform and date range. Look for patterns in topics, openings, visuals and timing, then test one change in your next posts. One strong result does not guarantee future growth.

Turn results into a useful test

  1. Choose a goal and review the native metrics relevant to it.
  2. Compare similar posts, keeping the platform and reporting period consistent.
  3. Change one element, such as the opening or visual approach, and review the next group of results.

Keep platform definitions separate

Analytics uses separate platform reports. Metrics with different definitions should not be combined into a single performance score.
